We are on the hunt for a UX Strategist/Researcher who can bring exceptional UX thinking and user insight into our digital projects. You'll gain an intimate understanding of our clients’ goals and challenges and in partnership with our creative and technical teams, provide the very best in strategic UX thinking, activities and direction — transforming business needs, market research and user insights into innovative concepts and solutions.

You'll be intimately involved in delivering mobile apps, websites and other web-based solutions for our clients.. You'll also be involved in managing specific projects and clients, maintain regular, effective and professional communication with all clients, and work closely with the design and development team to see projects through to completion.

We are looking for someone who is positive, solution-focused and cares most about our clients and their customers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the strategic discovery phase(s) and on-going digital direction for short and long-term projects, defining scope and shaping briefs that inform our creative and production teams
  • Scope, plan, and lead UX activities happening at any given time, including; ethnographic research, user interviews, surveys, user testing, IA (audit, testing and creation), content strategy, personas, requirements gathering, mapping user journeys, and wireframing
  • Run co-creation sessions and facilitate meaningful workshops with clients and staff
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis and turn user insights and identified opportunities into differentiating concepts, services and solutions
  • Stay updated on the latest developments, trends and thinking within digital design and share your knowledge and thoughts with both colleagues and clients
  • Be closely involved in both the pitching for new projects and the strategic development of running projects from beta to alpha and beyond.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the vision and values of the Company
  • High level of attention to detail
  • 3+ years' proven experience in user experience research and design with a portfolio of work to support your experience
  • A large toolbox of experiences with different UX methods and techniques
  • The ability to be a systems thinker, with a natural ability to analyse complex data and identify patterns and insights
  • A strong understanding of the web and mobile, you get excited about where technology is heading.
  • Experience working with Agile/SCRUM
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to manage your workload to meet time and budget expectations
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to help scope new projects
  • Experience in providing superior customer service
  • Experience in working as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel for work as required, mostly to main cities in NZ occasionally overnight
  • Ability to work in a variety of client settings and across platforms
  • Excellent problem solving skills, a love for technical challenges, and a willingness to learn.
